VHP condemns forced conversions in Pakistan

JAMMU, Sept 8: The VHP senior leader and its patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey has made an appeal to Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj seeking her immediate intervention in stopping forced conversions of Hindus in Pakistan.
Dr Dubey in a statement issued here, today expressed grave concern over the forced conversion of a Hindu girl in Pakistan today who was later sold for Rs 50,000 and said that the plight of the Hindus in theocratic State is pitiable.
Dr Dubey said the Union Government through the External Affairs Ministry should take up the issue with Pakistan and ensure the safety of Hindus living in that country.
He said many cases of atrocities and forcible conversion have surfaced in Pakistan and such acts deserve condemnation. He said the sentiments of all the right thinking people in this country have been hurt with such behavior of fundamentalist elements in Pakistan who have full backing of the State.
