Veterinary aid camp held

UDHAMPUR, Nov 17: Advance Field Veterinary Hospital on behalf of 71 Sub Area under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavna organized a veterinary aid camp at village Battal Ballian.
During the camp, the teams from district Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry Departments and the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, SKUAST, RS Pura, Jammu were also present.
In addition of providing treatment, animal husbandry advice and specialist veterinary cover to the farmers and ex-serviceman of region were provided with an unmatched opportunity to interact and get the advice of Army agencies like ECHS, ESM help line etc in addition to all civil officials involved in rural development.
Specialist diagnostic and treatment facilities including medicines were provided free of cost to the sick animals of the villagers.
In addition to the Veterinary treatment given and all other agencies showcased various schemes of Government Departments and distributed free samples to the farmers.
On the occasion, Shalimar Feeds Private Limited distributed free animal feed packets.
The camp’s success stemmed from the enthusiastic participation of staff from Ex-Serviceman’s Contributory Health Scheme, Zilla Sainik Welfare board and Civil Departments of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry,
Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture and Fisheries.
