SRINAGAR, Nov 5: Bharatiya Gujjar Mahasabha (BGM) has appealed All India Congress Committee (AICC) vice president Rahul Gandhi to verify the developmental facts from the people and not from the politicians.
In a statement, State president, BGM, Ishfaq-ur-Rehman Poswal said that late Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi had a dream to relieve the people of the State from all miseries but that dreams seems to have been shattered by the present politicians.
He appealed Rahul Gandhi to rise above politics and meet people especially youth personally.
He said it is very unfortunate, that State Congress leadership always misleads Rahul Gandhi whenever he visits the State and hoped that this time Rahul Gandhi will mingle with people and get first-hand account about the developmental activities, which had taken place in the State.
Poswal said that the people of J&K are not getting benefited from different Centrally sponsored schemes as these schemes are being misused.
