POONCH, July 15: The police seized a vehicle and rescued ten (10) bovine animals being smuggled to Valley via Mughal road and arrested three persons in this connection today.
Reports said a police naka party near Bafliaz on Mugal Road intercepted a Tata mobile vehicle No. JK-12/4391 and found six bovine animals loaded in it. The animals were being taken to Kashmir valley without valid permission. The police seized the vehicle and rescued animals. Two persons including driver were arrested under case FIR No. 98/2013. They are identified as Mohd Salim, son of Mohd Shafi and Imran Khan, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Marha in Rajouri.
Another bovine smuggler was arrested from Behramgalla area and four bovine animals were seized from his possession. He too, was moving to a location from where he had to load the animals in a vehicle for further transportation to Valley. He has been identified as Mohd Salim, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Marha village.
