UDHAMPUR, July 14: As a part of its drive against bovine smuggling in the district, Udhampur Police today attached vehicle of a notorious bovine smuggler.
The vehicle, bearing registration number JK02DA-8994, worth Rs 10 lakhs, was owned by habitual bovine smuggler Murad Ali, son of Nek Alam, resident of Kadyal, R S Pura, Jammu.
The case pertains to FIR number 92/2025, registered under Section 223 BNS, under section 11 PCA Act of PS Rehambal. During the investigation of the case, the movable property was identified as proceeds of crime and was thus attached under section 107 BNSS after obtaining orders from competent court.
