JAMMU, July 1: Miran Sahib police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen bike from his possession.
As per police sources, on June 24 this year, a complaint was lodged by Ankit Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Dablehar RS Pura with Police Station Miran Sahib stating that some unidentified person(s) has stolen his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BK-8144 from Kullian on June 22 this year.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 86/19 under section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station led by SHO SI Gurpal Singh rounded up several suspects and finally arrested the vehicle lifter, who has been identified as Kala, son of Ishab Din of Ward Number 5, Simbal Camp.
On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was also recovered.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
