VDCs issue shall be settled shortly: Ravinder Raina

JAMMU, Feb 28: J&K unit president of BJP, Ravinder Raina today said that Village Defence Committees issue shall be settled shortly.
While interacting with visiting Village Defense Committee (VDC) members at BJP office Trikuta Nagar in Jammu today, Raina said that VDCs were created due to the BJP’s efforts, and the party will leave no stone unturned to address all of the issues of VDC members and SPO’s.
VDC members under the leadership of J&K BJP VDC Cell Convenor , Basant Raj approached J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina in support of their demands.
Earlier, VDC Cell also held meeting at the party headquarters to discuss their issues which was attended by District office bearers of the Cell. Narinder Kotwal, Rattan Sharma, Suresh Sharma and Uttam Chand were amongst the prominent present in the meeting.
VDC Members led by Basant Raj discussed many issues of VDC members like regular salary and family welfare of the members. They said that VDCs always have played a constructive role in the society and in the future we need to strengthen them in every aspect. They requested the party seniors to ensure that their long pending genuine demands get resolved soon.
Raina assured the VDC members early resolution of the issue and termed them as the important pillars of the security system in this region. He praised them for their bravery and said that they have discharged their duties to save their motherland with utmost dedication and successfully resisted and played an important role in the neutralization of terrorist from the tough terrain.
BJP chief said that they have given their entire life for the safety and security of the people. He also said that all the issues of VDC members, VDC SPO’s will be addressed on priority.
Sunil Sharma, J&K BJP general secretary, said that he is in touch with the UT authorities and the Central government and all the issues of VDC members and SPO’s will be addressed.
