VC JU launches 1st step towards computerization

JAMMU, Sept 5: Vice-Chancellor Jammu University, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, today launched the online submission of registration returns and introduction of single leaf examination forms for all PG Courses running in the Main Campus, Offsite Campuses and Post Graduate Colleges.
Prof Ishar appreciated the significant step taken by the examination wing towards the computerization. He promised all help and support in further endeavours of the wing.
Earlier, Prof Manoj K Dhar, Controller of Examinations made a detailed power point presentation about the various activities undertaken by the examination wing to make the examination process smooth and time bound. He informed that more than 300 results are being declared by the University with the in-house capability, every year. He stressed upon the need to integrate various modules for the efficient functioning of the examination wing.
In the first phase all PG Courses are being covered and the University plans to introduce the system at under-graduate level from next academic session.
The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Dharmendra Magotra, Deputy Registrar (Computers).
The launching ceremony was held in the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat which was attended by all Head of Departments, Directors and Rectors.
