Jammu, June 17: Vice Chairman, JDA Mubarak Singh, held a meeting of all section heads of the JDA to review the status of the public service delivery mechanism and infrastructural development works.
The Vice Chairman asked the officers to ensure the delivery of 15 public services which are to be delivered to general public and allottees of buildings/flats/shops etc by JDA in a time bound manner. These services include application for transfer of property, mortgage, possession, outstanding dues, renewal of lease deed, permission to sub-let, Building Permission NOC, public grievance etc.
Vice Chairman has directed the Secretary and Sr. Programmer JDA to devise necessary application forms and formats so that these services can be delivered to the citizens with in a stipulated time.
During the meeting, the development works undertaken were also reviewed. The Superintending Engineer, JDA presented a detail report of development of new colonies i.e Gole Gujral, Birpur, Kot Bhalwal and Roop Nagar. He was directed to pace up the construction works and tendering work wherever yet not undertaken, to ensure that the works are completed in time bound manner without escalation of cost.
The Vice Chairman also directed the Superintending Engineer, JDA and the concerned Executive Engineers to take up the works for development of Maharaja Hari Singh Park at Tawi Front, after preparing a proper plan.
Chief Town Planner JDA informed that all the cases of No Objection Certificates for construction of building have been conveyed to Jammu Municipal Corporation and permissions are being conveyed online as per the directions of the department. He was to convene the meetings of BOCA on fortnightly basis, so that the genuine cases of building permissions are cleared in time bound manner. It was also directed that the anti encroachment drive started by the JDA should be continued and the enforcement wing shall remain vigilant to protect the land and properties of JDA.
