VBSY continues to strengthen communities across J&K

JAMMU, Jan 3: The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSA), a nationwide campaign fostering community engagement and awareness about Government initiatives, continued to make a significant impact across Jammu and Kashmir.
Leading the charge of the yatra was Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, whose presence resonated with the aspirations of the locals.
Accompanied by SDM Manu Hansa, Tehsildar Rampal Sharma and other dignitaries, MP Sharma first paid his respects at the revered Narsimha Temple, seeking blessings for the Yatra’s noble mission.
The MP embarked on a captivating journey through the heart of Ward-7. He visited stalls showcasing local handicrafts and entrepreneurial ventures, engaging in warm conversations with residents and inquiring about their well-being.
In a heartfelt address, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the Yatra, highlighting its pivotal role in bridging the gap between the Government and the grassroots.
As part of the yatra, several programmes were held in Jakhbar and Mirpur Ram Panchayats of Nagri Block in Kathua District. The enthusiastic response, particularly from the youth and women, underscored a strong desire to enhance understanding of flagship Government schemes.
A community-driven initiative unfolded in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra-cum-Block Diwas programme at the Children Park in Nikas, Block Shadimarg of Pulwama District.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama, Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz, along with District and Sectoral officers, participated.
The event, featuring a recorded message from the Prime Minister, emphasized the Government’s commitment to development and the focus on saturating schemes to reach every individual.
The yatra traversed through the Panchayats of Prori, Gakhrote-A, Gakhrote-B, Dhar, Khawas, Gadyog, Keri, and Bella of Budhal Old and Khawas Block of Rajouri District.
The Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) van played a crucial role in engaging with local communities, imparting knowledge about Government initiatives.
Remarkable success has been achieved in implementing various government schemes in Rajouri District, enhancing the quality of life and providing essential services efficiently.
Covering both rural and urban areas, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Ramban District, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, reached Chareel, Krawah, and wards no 3 of Ramban town.
The initiative aims to bridge the gap between Government schemes and the people, ensuring effective implementation and enhancing residents’ quality of life.
The Deputy Commissioner commended on-spot services provided by different departments during the Yatra.
