JAMMU, Sept 5: At the 34th Economic Forum in Karpacz, Varun Suthra brought forward India’s dynamic perspective on globalization during the session “Emerging Markets to the Global Stage: Strategies for Sustained Presence in International Trade.”
The discussion was moderated by Eszter Szabo Pomezanskine, president, Women/Business/Angels, Hungary, alongside distinguished co-panelists David Schneider (UK Representative, Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade – BWA) and Piotr Jblonski (Managing Director, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego).
In his intervention, Suthra underlined the importance of cultural intelligence, long-term relationships and innovation as guiding principles for emerging market players seeking to expand globally. He drew on India’s ecosystem approach—policy support, human capital investment and innovation—to suggest pathways for Central and Eastern European Governments to enhance their international competitiveness.
He further highlighted how KIIT has evolved far beyond a university into a platform for international collaborations across multiple disciplines while KISS has become a model for inclusive growth through education and social empowerment. Sharing success stories of projects with FIFA and FIVB, Suthra illustrated how sports and cultural diplomacy strengthen global partnerships and create lasting people-to-people connections.
By also presenting the diversity of India’s states as a unique advantage for global business, Suthra helped the audience recognize India’s role as both a partner in trade and a source of soft power. His remarks underlined how India and Europe can together shape a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable global order.
