JAMMU, Feb 5: Former Union Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Chairman, Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Uday Kumar Varma visited the Jammu Centre of IIMC.
Since Jammu Centre was set up during his tenure as Chairman IIMC, he was keen to have interaction with the students and also to know the activities being undertaken in the Centre.
During his interaction with Special Officer, IIMC Jammu Centre, Manohar Khajuria, he was briefed about the performance of the Centre. It was told to him that Centre has bagged Ist position in all three batches passed out from the date of its inception, thus having hat trick among all six centres of IIMC across the country.
Sugam Singhal bagged Ist position in Ist batch passed out during 2012-13, and Avantika Gupta and Jeevan Kaur secured Ist position in successive year 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively.
