Various organizations celebrate 71st Accession Day

JAMMU, Oct 26: Various organizations celebrated 71st Accession Day with enthusiasm and fanfare.
Maharaja Hari Singh Vichar Manch celebrated 71st Accession Day with great enthusiasm under the chairmanship of Advocate BS Jamwal. Sajeev Manmotra, Parkash Singh Jamwal, Advocate Pankaj Jamwal, Kali Dan, Himanchal Singh Slathia, Gurvinder Singh Jamwal, Pardeep Charak, Dawinder Nath Sharma and Arun Kumar Sharma, Chairman Galaxy College were also present. The speakers threw light on the occasion of the Accession Day.
Public Opinion Forum (POF)—a group of intellectuals, writers, thinkers and academicians, today celebrated the 71st Accession Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. A series of programmes, including flag hoisting amidst singing of National Anthem and a rally from POF office to Tawi bridge were also organized near Maharaja Hari Singh’s statue. The programmes were organized under the leadership of Parveen Sharma, President, POF, who exhorted all the nationalist forces across Jammu and Kashmir to remain united for foiling nefarious designs of separatists, who were playing in the hands of Pakistan. The programme was also attended by BJP MLC Ajatshatru Singh and Former MLC Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh, who cut the 71 kilograms laddoo to mark the 71st anniversary of the Accession Day. Among others present were Prof Virender Gupta, Dr Satya Dev Gupta, Ravikant, Gopal Parthasarthy, Rahul Sharma, Parveen Choudhary, Nathu Ram Gupta, Subash Sharma, Nitin Vaid, Rakesh Verma, Devinder Singh Jamwal, Lalit Kumar, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma and Chander Uday.
J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu under the leadership of its President BS Slathia, Senior Advocate celebrated 71st Accession Day as a National Festival at the J&K High Court complex at Janipur, here. The Association decorated various markets in the city, the road leading to the High Court and the Court Complex with National Tri-Colour Flying high. It was a very largely attended function by the members of the Association, besides other leading members of civil society.
The Association chief also said that the Association resolved in the seminar that the only dispute which remains is that the parts of the State which is under the illegal occupation of the Pakistan i.e. Poonch, Chamb, Gilgit, Baltistan and part of Kashmir.
The Bar Association, Jammu, also resolved in the seminar that the association will celebrate this Accession day every year and make it as a National Festival.
The members who spoke on the occasion included DS Saini, Advocate Former President Sunil Sethi, Senior Advocate (Former President) AK Sawhney Advocate. (former President)  Romesh Arora Advocate (MLC), LK Sharma, Senior Advocate, UK Jalali, Senior Advocate (former Advocate General), DC Raina, Senior Advocate, (former Adv. General), Gagan Basotra Advocate (former Senior Additional Advocate General), PN Goja, Advocate, Ashok Sharma, Advocate, (former MLA), Radha Sharma Advocate, Masood Choudhary Advocate and Rajesh Thappa Advocate. Sachin Gupta, Vice President, Bar Association, Jammu, Prem Sadotra, General Secretary of the Bar Association, Himanshu Sharma Joint Secretary, Chetan Misri Treasurer, Surinder Singh Advocate (former President) and many others were present on the occasion.
Yuva Rajput Sabha celebrated Accession Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor by organizing a function under the leadership of its President Rajveer Singh near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh. Carrying National Flags and placards with patriotic slogans, the YRS activists garlanded the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh. Among others present were Ranjeet Singh, Surinder Singh, Mohinder Singh, Rajesh Singh, Daljeet Singh, etc.
District Bar Association, Udhampur celebrated “Accession Day” with enthusiasm in the District Court Complex. The members of the Association greeted each other on this historic day by hoisting Tricolour.
While speaking on the occasion, Advocate Sahil Raina threw light on the importance of the day. Among others present were Advocate Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Advocate Pawan Jandial, Advocate Kuldeep, Advocate JD Slathia, Advocate Sunny Mahajan, Advocate Pawan Honda, Advocate Akhil Dubey, Advocate Parteek (Ricky), Advocate Tarun Gupta, Advocate Akhil Khajuria and Advocate AK Sharma.
State NCP celebrated Accession Day under the chairmanship of its President and Former Minister Randhir Singh. While speaking, Randhir Singh highlighted the importance of the day. Krishan Kumar Digra, Vice President State NCP, RC Bali Chairman NCP Sewa Dal, Abhimanyu Singh Jamwal,  Abdul Mustafa, Mohammad Akbar Ali Chisti, Liaquat Ali Magray, Gulab Chand Bhagat and many others were present on the occasion.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High school, Udhampur celebrated Accession Day. Principal of the institution threw light on the importance of the day.
Save Sharda Committee Kashmir celebrated Accession Day in New Delhi. Ravinder Pandita, Founder Member of the Committee highlighted the imporyacne of the day and urged the Government to facilitate Jammu and Kashmir people for Sharda pilgrimage.
On the occasion of Accession Day, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha paid floral tributes to Brigadier Rajinder Singh at village Bagunna. President KK Khosa garlanded the statue of Dogra warrior in presence of Shiban Khaibri, Mahinder Singh, Captain Parkash Singh, Premvir Singh and many others. Later the members visited the ancestral house of the brave heart and the school where he studied.
Nationalist Student Congress, the student wing of NCP celebrated the Accession Day. Er Rishi Kaul Kilam, National Committee Member NSC, threw light on the importance of the day.
Lok Vikas Dal Udhampur celebrated Accession Day. President of Lok Vikas Dal Vikram Singh Slathia threw light on the importance of the day.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma paid rich tributes to Brigadier Rajinder Singh, who was martyred while defending the State against Pakistan attack.
J&K Ex-Services League today organized a programme at Rajinder Chowk, Jammu to pay tributes to Brig Rajinder Singh on his 71st Martyrdom Day. Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP, Brig Anil Gupta, senior member of the League, President of the League, Major General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, Manu Khajuria Singh of Voice of Dogras from London, Ghambir Dev Singh Charak, president Youth Wing, Dogra Sadar Sabha, Brig Harcharan Singh, Director, Rajya Sainik Board and Col Karan Singh were also present
Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra, Anand Nagar Jammu celebrated Accession Day. On the occasion, BL Saraf, Principal Sessions and District Judge (Retd) was the chief guest, while Brig (Retd) Suchet Singh, J&K Prant Sangchalak RSS was also present. They released the document related to historical address of Shiv Narayan Fotedar in the Parliament in the year 1956 in presence of Padam Shree Dr KN Pandita. Prof Sunil Tickoo, Member Content Generation Team of SSK introduced this document. Advocate Yuvraj Bushan, Advocate Arun Dhar, Senior Trustee HN Pandita, Kuldeep Sudeshi, Prof Sandeep Pandita, Prof Satesh Bhan, AK Raina, Dr MK Bharat and Advocate Rahul Kilam were also present.
