JAMMU, May 19: Various deputations today called on former State president of BJP and MLC Ashok Khajuria at the party headquarters during his weekly sitting.
Deputations from PHE Workers Welfare Association, Gujjar and Bakerwal community, Degree Engineers from Vinayaka Mission University, raised their issues and concerns before Khajuria.
The deputation of PHE Workers Welfare Association demanded regularization of daily wagers of their department and disbursement of salary on regular basis.
Gujjar and Bakerwal deputation from Kalakote submitted a memorandum regarding the issue of forest land under the possession of nomadic people, who were earning their livelihood through it.
Deputation of Degree Engineers of Vinayaka Mission, who are serving in PHE, also apprised MLC Ashok Khajuria about their demands and sort his attention for redressal of their grievances related to PHE Department.
Ashok Khajuria gave a patient hearing to each deputation and said that their demands are genuine and he will take them up with higher concerned authorities so that their issues and demands could be resolved at the earliest. He also assured that the BJP and its entire cadre was committed to serve the people.
