JAMMU, Mar 25: The executive body of Kashmir Traders And Manufacturers Federation which met today under the chairmanship of Alhaj  Muhhamad Yaseen Khan, impressed upon the Commercial Taxes Department to stop harassing the traders community. The body reiterated that the traders are not comfortable with the new order regarding the form 65 and want the present system of issuing Form 65 to continue as it is a safe method.
The meeting also expressed resentment over the undue harassment of the traders of Valley by the banks and Commercial Taxes Department. It was said that the traders are being harassed under the garb of recovering loan installments from them.
When the law and order had deteriorated in Jammu, the traders were given a special interest concession on their loans but the traders of the Valley are being discriminated by keeping bereft of any such concessions, the meeting alleged. KTMF said that the traders are not denying the loans and will settle their debts amicably but keeping the ground situation in mind the recovery process by the Bank should be postponed for now.
