While addressing a press conference here today, Hari Singh, president of USTA and Rajeev Kumar, general secretary expressed their great concern over the lackadaisical and non serious attitude of outgoing State Government towards just and genuine demands of the teaching community.
“It is highly deplorable that a large section of teachers, masters and headmasters working under SSA and RMSA have been deprived from the benefit of 7th Pay Commission”, they said and regretted that despite tall claims of successive Governments, a transparent transfer policy in respect of unprivileged section (masters/lecturers/headmasters) could not be envisaged and they have to face discrimination.
USTA leaders further expressed their strong concern over the denial of senior teacher grade to trained undergraduate teachers as they used to be promoted as senior teachers but no such promotions have been made after 2007.
They further expressed resentment over the unwanted delay in the process of regularization of promotee lecturers, headmasters, ZEOs etc and called upon the State Government especially Advisor to Governor to take serious view of the situation on the ground and redress the long pending demands of teaching community otherwise USTA will be compelled to resort to agitational path responsibility of which will lie on the shoulders of the Government.
