JAMMU, Apr 5: J&K United School Teachers’ Association (USTA) today held a meeting to focus the long pending demands of teaching and non-teaching staff of the State run schools.
The meeting under the leadership of Hari Singh, provincial president, USTA strongly criticized the State Government for not releasing salary for the last more than 10 months in favour of teachers working under SSA scheme. He also said that salary under RMSA and NPS is not being paid regularly.
Singh also condemned the State Government for introducing the New Pension Scheme in the State and strongly demanded suitable transfer of Masters and Lecturers who have completed their tenure in far flung areas including Ladakh district by adopting foolproof transparent transfer policy.
The Association called upon the authorities to immediately remove pay anomalies, adjust promoted Masters and Lecturers, clear regularization files of ReTs, clearance of Mid Day meal liabilities, debar teachers from non-academic duties and fill vacant posts in schools. The meeting decided to take agitational path if demands including of salary will not be resolved in the shortest possible time. Those present in the meeting were Rajeev Kumar, Pardeep Singh, Zulkar Ali Malik, Chamil Singh, Kishore Lal, Raj Kumar and others.
