JAMMU, Dec 12: J&K United School Teachers Association (USTA) extended support to the mass casual leave call given by J&K Government employees, casual labourers, workers and pensioners united platform on December 19 and assured to stand solidly in the united struggle.
Addressing a joint press conference, Hari Singh, President of the Association and Rajeev Kumar, General Secretary projected the demands including release pending 4-6 months salary, 4th & 5th installment arrear of 6th pay commission and DA arrear of teachers/masters working under SSA, release pay arrears of regularized ReT teachers converted from EV w.e.f June-2013 to February-2014, release salary of newly appointed teachers working against shifted posts w.e.f January-2016 to till date in District Kathua, withdraw screening test order of regularized ReT teachers, adjust masters whose DPC was made in February 2014 and modify irrational, arbitrary and normless transfer orders of masters made before ban on transfers.
They also demanded implementation of transfer policy in favour of regularized ReT teachers, release senior teacher grade in favour of trained under graduate teachers, fill vacant posts of teachers, masters, headmasters and lecturers, confirm all lectures, headmasters, ZEOs and principals working in their own pay and scale, start pre-primary classes in all schools having primary classes by proving staff and infrastructure and implement 7th Pay commission in J&K.
They expressed concern over the lackadaisical and non-serious attitude of State Government towards these just and genuine long pending demands of teaching community.
“USTA fully supports and endorses the mass casual leave call given by J&K Government employees, casual labourers, workers and pensioners united platform on December, 19 and assured to stand solidly in the united struggle”, they said and called upon its cadre to fully implement its call of protest demonstration.
Among others present were Dr Shashi Paul Singh, Roop Lal, Angat Singh, Kanta Jamwal, Pardeep Singh, Raj Kumar and Madan Singh.
