Association for Welfare of Senior Citizens holds AGM

JAMMU, Dec 12: The annual general meeting (AGM) of the Association for Welfare of Senior Citizens (AWSC) was held here on Sunday.
During the meeting, the house unanimously decided to continue the existing team to continue for another term of two years. The team consists of AK Arora as president, RC Gupta as general secretary, KK Mahajan and BM Kohli as vice presidents, PP Mengi as treasurer and Chander Parkash as well as Dr SL Abrol as joint secretaries.
In his welcome address, AK Arora deliberated on the progress made by the association as also the deliberations the association delegation had with Governor NN Vohra on December 7. The president also elaborated various constraints the association is facing in its day to day working. He also informed the house about various steps taken to improve the financial condition of the association.
The annual report of the association was read by the secretary and the annual accounts were presented by the treasurer. The members were addressed by Ram Anand and Ankit Sharma on different ways of proper savings by the senior citizens.
The proceedings were conducted by Dr SL Abrol and vote of thanks was presented by BM Kohli. HB Khajuria, senior patron, presided over the meeting. Patron Vikram Gour was also present in the meeting.
