USTA discusses problems, demands

SAMBA, Feb 10: The district committee of United School Teachers’ Union (USTA) discussed various issues and demands of teachers in a meeting held today at Ghagwal under the chairmanship of Raj Kumar Sharma.
The meeting in one voice criticized the authorities for harassing teachers, who have obtained their degrees under distance mode from universities recognized by UGC, on the name of screening test.
The speakers also criticized the concerned authorities for appointing CRPs and ZRPs in pick and choose manner without adopting any criteria, and for not clearing pending salaries of teachers in zone Samba.
The association demanded early release of pending mid-day meal charges with effect from March 2014 to February 2015 and October 2015 to till date. The speakers appealed the authorities to clear all other pending arrears under different components at the earliest.
