USTA delegation calls on DSE

JAMMU, Nov 27: A deputation of United School Teachers Association met Director School Education, Jammu R A Inqlabi under the presidentship of Hari Singh, today.
The deputation appraised him of the various problems being faced by the teaching community. Teachers leader demanded immediate release of pending salary in favour of teachers working in different districts.
They also demanded adjustment of newly promoted Masters and Lecturers immediately after lifting model code of conduct by observing transparent transfer norms.
Other demands were selection grade for trained undergraduate teachers, teachers, removal of pay anamolies, regularization of Masters, Headmasters and Principals, debarring of teachers for non-acedemic duties, filling vacant posts in schools, enhance salary of unregularised ReT from Rs 3000 to Rs 15000.
Later the same deputation met State Project Director SSA and RMSA, S A Leharwal and appraised him of the pending of teachers working under SSA and RMSA schemes. Director School Education assured to concede the demands of the teacher at the earliest.
The deputationist includes Dr Shashi Paul, Banarsi Dass, Sewa Ram, Raj Kumar, Julfikar Ali Malik, Shanti Saroop Sharma, Yash Paul, Madan Singh, Raj Kumar, Roop Chand, Sajjas Mirza and Kishori Lal.
