UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: As new recruits completed their basic training, an impressive Attestation-com Passing Out Parade was organized by the Border Security Force at Parade Ground STC BSF Udhampur, here today.

After completing their 44 weeks of basic training, 147 recruit Constables (Tradesman) belonging to various States of the country, took an oath for serving the nation and left for their respective duty places.
Dinesh Kumar Boora, Inspector General, Frontier HQ BSF, Jammu was the chief guest of the Attestation-cum-Passing Out Parade and took the salute.
The chief guest appreciated the standard of the training imparted to the recruits and congratulated the officers and dedicated team of instructors of STC BSF, Udhampur for this purpose.
Recruit Constable Harsh Sharma commanded the parade as Parade Commander. Five recruits, who were awarded with trophies for excelling in different fields during their basic training, included R/CT Harsh Sharma (overall 1st position), R/CT Md Arif Ansari (overall 2nd position), R/CT Harsh Sharma (Best in Drill), R/CT Patil Valmik Sahib Rao (Best Firer) and R/CT Sawant Bhavesh Anil (Best in Endurance).
Varinder Datta, Commandant (Trg) welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries.
Talking to the media, Dinesh Kumar Boora, Inspector General, Frontier HQ BSF, Jammu said that all 147 Jawans have been given all kinds of training so that they can successfully do their work on the border. “These jawans have been given the modern type training so that they can counter the problems running on the borders like drones or many other types,” he added and reminded that BSF was using new technology, due to which it has solved the problems of drones etc to a great extent.
“We don’t care about the number of people on the other side of the border but we have only one formula that we do not allow anyone to cross the border,” said the IG BSF.
Lal Chand, Chairman, DDC; Juhi Manhas, Dy Chairman, DDC, Udhampur; Dr Vinod Kumar, SSP Udhampur; senior officials of Civil Administration, Udhampur, officers of various CAPFs, School Teachers, renowned locals, family members of the recruits, ladies and children of the STC Campus witnessed the parade and cheered the recruit Constables for their excellent parade.
