JAMMU, Nov 21: The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today requested all private satellite television channels to use only the new political map of India, which was released by the Government on November 2 following creation of two new Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
“The new political map has been prepared by the Survey of India, Department of Science and Technology and is available online on its website surveyofindia.gov.in. All TV channels are requested to use only the new political map of India,’’ a Circular issued by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said.
