Water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink, especially, clean and safe water. India is a vast country. It is world’s largest second populated country and seventh largest country in the world in area. It consists of vast area under water also.
India, has a number of rivers like Brahmaputra, Ganga, Tapti etc. These rivers are very mighty water bodies and provide abundance of fertile soil, stones, sand etc. But we the people of India pollute these rivers every day. We can control this pollution by putting efforts.
Government takes effective steps to control water pollution but such efforts can yield results only if Government and people make collective efforts. Otherwise a time may come when India will not have a drop of pure water to drink.
