US Deputy Secretary of State embarks on India-Pakistan visit

 

WASHINGTON : US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken is today embarking on a visit to India and Pakistan where he would discuss political, economic and security matters between the two countries with government officials and non-governmental experts.      According to a statement of the US State Department, Mr  Blinken would begin his two-day visit to the countries from New Delhi.      He will hold talks with senior government officials in New Delhi on bilateral matters, international economic situation, security issues and will speak on ways to enhance Indo-US bilateral cooperation.      His visit to Islamabad will be from December 8 to 10.  He will represent the US in the Asia Istanbul Conference there. He will also have discussions with officials on various issues.  (AGENCIES)
