Sir,
In reference to the article “Restore UPSC age relaation ” cited in editorial page, it is said or is to be decided whether UPSC will scrap the age relaxation clause for J&K domicile born between 1980-1989 is still an ambiguity. India’s top prestigious recruitment body for civil services should have by now (after the CSE, 2019 advertisement/notification) made it clear , so that many aspiring UPSC candidates should have a better clarity about their future rather than wasting such a precious time of their life in worthless dilemmas and consequently turning J&K students as abhorrent.
Rightly, said that today our state has a strong representative voice at Central Ministry of DopT for raising any concern and solving such egalitarian crisis vis-vis other states like NE/hilly states. Rather than giving extensions for year or so, everytime on requests by State Govt. , a concrete policy should be drafted for UPSC for J&K domicile , once for all, so that every year , such hue and cry can be knowingly avoided and no such opportunity should be given to the citizens of less privileged states to exacerbate the already worthless situation.
