JAMMU, Nov 17: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar, while congratulating the pass-outs of JKP, advised them to imbibe noble values of life while discharging their obligations. He affirmed that the recruits must uphold the sanctity of law in keeping with traditions of Jammu and Kashmir Police Organization.
Mr. Rajendra was addressing the 12th batch of 522 recruits at the Attestation-cum-Passing-out-Parade at Police Subsidiary Training Centre(STC),Talwara on the culmination of their basic training course this morning. He welcomed the strong batch of recruits to the Jammu and Kashmir Police Parivar.
The DGP stressed upon the pass-outs to work with discipline, dedication and with regard to the expectations of the people and the police organization. He said that honesty, integrity and impartiality should be the key ingredients for the cops to develop and improvise work culture in JKP and to make it a model police organization. He emphasised on the aspects of accountability, respect towards law and command of superiors in their daily performance which would help them deliver effectively and maintain public faith. He appreciated the performance of the trainees in flood affected areas during the recent floods and said that it added the human values and responsibilities towards the public service.
Describing the significance of training in every uniformed force, Mr. Rajendra said that it lays strong foundation for a successful career in meeting challenges of society as every citizen in a difficult situation looks upon a man in Khaki with the sense of relief and belonging; so we must be sensitive to the needs and expectations of common man by demonstrating our ability and propensity to assist them with the sense of belonging.
Mr. Rajendra congratulated the ADG (Armed), SM Sahai, Principal and other staff of the Training Centre for imparting indoor and outdoor training to the recruits and preparing them to perform their duties efficiently in the field.
The DGP announced a cash reward of Rs. one lakh to the team of commandos of the JKP which gave an impressive anti-terrorist operation demonstration on this occasion and lauded their performance.
Earlier, the DGP was presented an impressive general salute in the Passing-out-Parade. The all round best recruit Constable Abhinandan Sharma was granted one rank promotion as Selection Grade Constable with Commendation Certificate and cash reward. Constables Mohammad Ashraf, Deepak Maski, Bilal Ahmad and Sumair Yaqoub were also awarded Special Commendation Certificates and cash rewards for their excellent performance during the training course. Constables Mushtaq Ahmed and Mohammad Irfan were also awarded commendation certificates and cash rewards for their best performance in commanding the Passing-out Parade.
On the occasion, the Principal of Training Centre, JehangirAhmad Khan administered the oath to the recruits.
