NEW DELHI, May 14: Chief ministers of three BJP-ruled states — Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath, Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh’s Vishnu Deo Sai — on Thursday separately called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital.
Discussions were held on issues related to security and development during the meetings, officials said. According to a post by the Office of the Home Minister, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister met Shah in New Delhi. In a separate post on X, Adityanath said, “Today, I paid a courtesy visit to the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. Heartfelt thanks to you for sparing your valuable time.”
“Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav met with Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah,” the HMO said in a post.
The HMO said in another post that the Chhattisgarh chief minister and Deputy chief minister Vijay Sharma met Shah.
During the meeting, Sai briefed Shah on the changing situation and development initiatives underway in Bastar. Discussions focused on the “Mukhyamantri Swasth Bastar Abhiyan” and the expansion of healthcare services in Naxal-affected areas, a statement from the Chhattisgarh government said.
Sai informed the home minister that areas where ambulances once struggled to reach are now regularly being visited by doctors, medicines and healthcare teams, the statement said.
The chief minister said old security camps in Bastar are gradually being transformed into “Jan Suvidha Kendras” where villagers receive healthcare, education, banking facilities and access to government welfare schemes under one roof.
According to the statement, over 2.186 million people have been screened under the health campaign launched from Sukma on April 13 this year and digital health profiles have been prepared.
Sai also briefed Shah on the development roadmap for Bastar with focus on roads, education, employment, skill development and investment promotion, it said.
The statement said Shah appreciated the ongoing development works and expansion of healthcare services in Bastar and asserted that both the Centre and the state government are committed to ensuring benefits of development reach the last person.
“Today, in New Delhi, a courtesy meeting was held with the Iron Man of Modern India, the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, along with the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai,” Sharma said in a post on X. (PTI)
