Union Health Ministry team to facilitate State in preparation of SPIP

JAMMU, Jan 20: A team from Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW) arrived here for three days visit to facilitate the preparation of State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP) of National Health Mission for the FY 2015-16 here today.
The team headed by Capt. Kapil Chaudhary, Deputy Secretary, Union MoH&FW comprising of Dr. Vinita Srivastava, National Consultant Union MoH&FW, Padam Khanna Sr. Consultant NHSRC, Dr Nitasha Kaur, Sr Consultant, Mona Gupta, TSA; Dr Tarun, Dr Nimisha Goel, Sikha Bansal, Deepak Kumar and Dr Sheema consultants from Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare would assist the stakeholders in preparation of SPIP of National Health Mission.
The Mission Director, National Health Mission J&K Dr Yashpal Sharma received the team at Nagrota, Jammu.
A meeting was held to give brief overview of the SPIP of 2015-16 in the State to the team. It was informed in the meeting that State Health Society has prepared the SPIP for next FY after getting action plans from District Health Societies, Principals, Government Medical Colleges Jammu and Srinagar, Director General of Indian System of Medicine, Directors Health Services Kashmir and Jammu Divisions and Director Family Welfare, MCH & Immunization.
The programme wise details of Programme Implementation Plan viz. Maternal Health, Child Health, Adolescent Health, NCD and Disease Control Programmes for providing technical inputs were also discussed threadbare during the meeting.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Directors Health Services Kashmir and Jammu Divisions, Director (P&S) State Health Society and other senior officers of the department.
