JAMMU, May 15: J&K Central Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Union (JKCNGEEU) expressed its serious concern over the Govt’s move to fill up the vacant class IV employees’ post of Power Development Department (PDD) which were specially meant for the absorption of daily wagers of this department working since last more than a decade.
“The circular issued recently by the administrative department wide No PDD/class IV vacancy/ 2020 dated 14-05-2020 is a clear violation of existing SRO 381 and is not acceptable and it is a serious anti employees policy. The Govt Instead of giving remuneration and encouragement to the power sector employees who are working with other frontline workers to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuring the regular power supply in these hard days is trying to snatch the existing rights of employees by one way or the other,” expressed JKCNGEEU.
Parshotam Sharma, State General Secretary appealed to Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu and Chief Secretary to personally intervene in the issue and ensure filling up of all vacancies as per SRO 381 of 1981.
He also appealed all the PDD employees including daily wagers /need based workers to protect against this draconian move of the Govt and resist the same with might.
