JAMMU, Aug 10: An unidentified male body was recovered today from a canal in Satwari area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the partially decomposed dead body of an unidentified man of age about 35 years was spotted by some locals in a canal near MBS College in Jeevan Nagar area of Satwari, late this evening.
On getting information from locals, a police team from police post Gadigarh reached the spot, evicted the body from canal and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
In this regard, inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated by concerned police.
