Sir,
I would like to highlight the problems of un-employment being faced by young generation of Kandi belt area. It will not be out of place to mention here that at one point of time i.e (up-to 1980) 85-90 percent men of the areas were in the Indian Army. Now, the unemployment is increasing day by day as this area has been totally ignored from the employment point of view due which young generation is suffering badly. No recruitment drive has been conducted by Army or Police in Kandi belt area of Jammu province.
Since the eruption of militancy in the State, it has been seen that preference for generation of employment opportunity was given to the militancy infested area/border area where ever year recruitment is being done by the Police/Army whereas this Kandi belt has totally been ignored either on one pretext or the other.
Besides, most of their agriculture land situated at Sarwa, Trendia and Keranwali in Ramgarh area which was bequeathed for cultivation purpose by our elders as they were away from their houses to serve the nation has not been restored to us till date. It is prayed to the administration to look into the above mentioned genuine issues of the Kandi belt area and efforts should be made to redress the same at the earliest.
Yours etc…
