[NEW DELHI : Minister of State for Tourism Priya Sethi attended the JK Networking Evening as part of SATTE- South Asia’s biggest travel shows at New Delhi, here today.
SATTE is a three day Travel Show with international participation from almost 30 countries including Turkey, Bhutan, Southeast Asian countries, Middle East countries and SAARC nations besides different tourism boards and Tourism departments from all states, Travel Trade companies, hotel chains and other renowned travel associations.
While speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked travel traders of the country to invest in peace by making JK as the priority destination for tourism this year. She said that with CM at the helm of tourism department, under her progressive thinking and guidance, the tourists can be guaranteed of best hospitality adding that women always are the best hosts at home and/or in official capacity. She also announced that for the next event of SATTE at Srinagar, JK tourism will sponsor the event as partner.
Secretary Tourism Farooq A Shah, in his address spoke at large about tourism facilities available and the upgraded tourist infrastructure in the state. He requested the gathering of Travel Traders of the country to make it a mission to bring tourists to Jammu & Kashmir.
The networking evening was successfully organized with invitees from different countries, states who got enthralled by the spectacular JK evening and cultural performances.
As part of SATTE, multiple events were organised including exclusive B to B interactions and business enquirers. Jammu Kashmir Tourism had established a beautifully decorated pavilion which displayed travel trade of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh and showcased the multiple, diverse tourism potential of the state. JK pavilion attracted interested potential buyers from all over the country and abroad who were thrilled to know about various tempting locations and products of the state.
Director Tourism Mehmood A Shah, MD Cable Car Shamim Wani, Director SKICC Yasmeen Khan and other officers and officials of JK tourism, JKTDC, SKICC were also present on the occasion.
