Umeed – a composition of Rawal’s Ghazals released

JAMMU, Mar 3: Umeed, a collection of Virender Rawal’s collection of Urdu ghazals was released at a function organized by Vyeth a social cultural organization here today.
Rawal’s ghazals, ranging from torturous exiled probation, existential struggle, wrap & woes are finally accumulating into a sea of hope. When screened , his ghazals  like , life passed in the shadow of fear and now the life has ceased as fear is away. His ghazals drew tremendous applause from the audience which included prominent citizens, scholars and intellectuals.
Later the artists and others who contributed in one form or the other during the compiling of Umeed were felicitated with mementos and certificates. Those who were honoured included Kusum Tiku, Meenal Peer, Ranjit Gorkha, Shiva Bhat, Nipun Bhat, Surbhi Saproo, Pankaj Lidoo, Sunil Tiku, Kamal Ganjoo, Kuldeep Kalla and Naina Sapru Trisal.
It was a great moment when Dr R L Shant a renowned literary figure was also honored on the occasion. During the award ceremony, a very short film on one of the legendary actress Kusum Tiku was also displayed depicting her selfless role as an anchor in Vyeth events since 2008.
In his address Prof R L Shant who was the chief guest on the occasin lauded the role of Vyeth and appreciated Virender Rawals pain taking contribution towards Kashmiri culture which is receiving hiccups after the mass exodus. By making profile films on various Kashmiri Pandit maestros who have made their imprint on the draught of community’s 6000 year old cultural ethos, Vyeth led by Rawal evidently evinces unique and appreciable involvement. He expressed the hope that in future the Vyeth will continue to focus on its fixed agenda and goals. He also assured full support and help to Vyeth.
Prof P N Trisal , Prof Kailash Mehra, Dr Agnishekhar, Anjali Sharma, Director DD Jammu and PN Shad were guests of honour who critically appreciated the poetic inclinations and literary taste of Rawal. They also offered their unabated and sustaining support to every action which goes to the interests of the community.
Earlier in his key note address Virender Rawal committed that Vyeth has yet to obtain youthfulness but all endeavours would be spotlighted towards the society existential purposes. “ Our every effort will be to get the displaced community rooted to their familiar inheritance via preserving and promoting the blooms and branches of our culture”, he added.
