JAMMU, July 13: The Prabandhak Committee Uma Nagari Asthapan, Brariangan Anantnag has expressed grave concern over the act of some miscreants who had set some belongings of the Asthapan ablaze late last night.
In a statement issued here, today the Committee has urged the Government to arrest the culprits and take a stern action against them. It said the miscreants’ action has been viewed seriously by the community and this has put a question mark over the Government’s return formula.
A delegation of Committee members also met the SSP Anantnag who has issued on spot directives to SHO Achabal to probe the matter and arrest the culprits. The Committee said that such an action will not be tolerated as Uma Nagri is an ancient and revered Shrine of KPs in Kashmir and Government should ensure its protection.
The Committee also demanded that the CRPF guard be established at the holy shrine.
