NEW DELHI: Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti today refused to comment on her reported resignation and said only the BJP national president has the right to say anything.
Ms Bharti’s remarks came in response to a question by reporters in Jhansi as to whether she had put in her papers.
The Minister later tweeted, “The media has asked for feedback about the news of my resignation yesterday. To this I have said I have not heard this question, nor will I listen and neither will I reply”.
“Regarding this either the national president Amit Shah or the person he authorises can speak. I do not have the right to speak on this,” she said.
Union Minister for Skill Development Rajiv Pratap Rudy late yesterday quit and several other Ministers are expected to follow suit ahead of a major overhaul of the Narendra Modi Cabinet that will take place on Sunday, sources said. (AGENCIES)
