Uma Bharti gets death threat

BHOPAL, June 29: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered here against a person for making threatening phone calls to BJP leader Uma Bharti.
Police have registered an FIR on the basis of a complaint by Ms Bharti’s security officer Pradeep Tomar that an unidentified caller has been threatening the BJP legislator from June 26 night from the mobile number 09229798167.
Her security officer had picked the first call that came when Ms Bharti was leaving for New Delhi in the Bhopal Express on June 26. Almost half-a-dozen phone calls had been received in the past three days.
According to a UNI report from Satna, Inspector General of Police (Rewa Range) Gajiram Meena reached Satna district headquarters to inquire in connection with the case.
The mobile phone had been issued on the basis of an address in Satna. The caller had identified himself as one Anuj Srivastava calling from Allahabad. (UNI)
