SRINAGAR, Jan 24:  While paying tributes to the martyrs of Wandhama massacre, United Kashmiriyat Front (UKF) today demanded through probe into killing of Kashmiri Pandits.
A spokesman of UKF in a statement said a Maha Sharad was organized today at Priyagaraj, Shadipora, for all the Kashmiri Pandits who were killed by gunmen.
The Chairman, UKF,  Bharat Raina demanded that a thorough probe be conducted into all killings of hapless Pandits including two major massacres in Wandhama and Nadi Marg.
Raina said that it was on intervening night of 24/25th January 1998 that around 12 to 15 militants descended on village Wandhama and lined up all Kashmiri Pandits to shoot and kill all 23 of them that included men, women and children.
The statement further read that according to official figures, 110 FIRs have been filed in different police stations regarding killing of 219 Kashmiri Pandits. “Till date, leave aside bringing them to book, not a single killer has so far been arrested”, he said.
The spokesman said it is disgusting that neither successive Governments nor any civil society/human rights of Kashmir took up these killings as they have done for Muslims killings. “On the other hand, separatist leadership speaks about return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley,” he said.
