NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler has filed a complaint with Delhi Police against Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief Manjit Singh GK, accusing him of circulating ”fabricated” video clips showing the Congress leader on the electronic and social media.
In his complaint to Delhi Police and its cyber crime cell on Thursday, Mr Tytler has alleged that the said video clips were completely false, manipulated and were circulated in the media with vested interest.
He said that the whole matter was a part of a conspiracy to tarnish his image, plotted by the DSGMC chief and his associates.
According to Mr Tytler, Manjit Singh GK held a press conference on Monday that went live on a news channel wherein several doctored videos were also displayed, and purported as ‘sting’ operations against him.
”Mr Manjit Singh had also falsely stated that I have confessed to have got killed hundreds of Sikhs in the 84 riots in the capital”, Mr Tytler said.
Mr Tytler said that this was an attempt by the DSGMC chief to gather undue political mileage, and further demanded a probe into this matter by the investigative agencies. (AGENCIES)
