KATHUA, Dec 26: Two persons received burn injuries when two vehicles caught fire after a head on collision at Jammu- Pathankote National Highway at Hatli Morh near here late last night.
According to reports a car bearing number DL3CV 0925 which was coming from Pathankote to Jammu and a tanker bearing number PV05 V9832 which was on its way from Jammu to Pathankote collided head on at Hatli More and caught fire. Both the vehicles were damaged. The driver of the tanker managed to escape in the cover of darkness but the two inmates of the car identified as Bimal S/o Mohan Lal of Nanak Nagar, Jammu and Dr Gurcharan Singh S/o Sohan Singh were injured. They were taken to district Hospital Kathua for treatment where from doctors referred them to GMC Jammu.
The Kathua Police has registered a case and started hunt for the driver.
