JAMMU, May 2: Bishnah Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen items worth Rs 73,000 on their disclosure.
“Acting on a written complaint lodged on April 25 at Police Station Bishnah by one person namely Sandeep Jandyal son of Ved Paul, resident of Bishnah (Jammu) stating that some thieves stole few household items from his house,” a police spokesman said.
He said accordingly, a case FIR number 67/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started. The spokesman said during the course of investigation, two suspects namely Prem Paul son of Chaman Lal of Amir Nagar (Bishnah) and Parveen Kumar alias Bindu son of Krishan Chand of Deoli (Bishnah) were rounded up and during questioning, they confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure, all the stolen items including Voltage Stablizer, Water Purifier, AC and a Geyser were recovered.
The arrest and recovery was made by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector (now Deputy SP) Vinod Kumar under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh. Further investigation into the case was on.
