JAMMU, May 2: A notorious criminal, who was evading his arrest for last about 2 years, arrested today by Police Station Akhnoor.
“The accused identified as Parshotam Singh son of Onkar Singh, resident of Bale Bagh (Akhnoor) was evading his arrest since 2020 in a case FIR number 133/2020 U/S 353/341/147 IPC of Police Station Akhnoor,” a police spokesman said.
He said finally after a delay of about 2 years, a special team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial arrested the accused. It is pertinent to mention that a warrant of arrest U/S 299 CrPC was issued against the accused by JMIC Akhnoor.
The absconder has been sent to 2 days remand, the spokesman added.
