JAMMU, Nov 10: Bus Stand Police arrested two snatchers.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Rahul Sharma, son of Bodh Raj of Mori Bakhana District Doda with Police Station Bus Stand stating that two unidentified persons snatched his mobile phone and Rs 2200 cash at In Gate of the General Bus Stand.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 70/2021 under Sections 341, 382 and 34 IPC was registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Deepankar Singh under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma conducted series of raids and finally arrested the snatchers.
The arrested snatchers were identified as Sahil Kumar, son of Ramesh Kumar of Mazdoor Basti Resham Ghar Colony District Jammu and Deepak Rai, son of Kalu Rai of West Bengal, at present Pouni Chack near Santra Morh District Jammu.
On their disclosure, police team also recovered snatched mobile phone and cash.
Further questioning of the arrested snatchers is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft/snatching cases.
