JAMMU, Oct 16: Bus Stand Police here apprehended two snatchers.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Deepankar Singh under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma apprehended two snatchers, who were identified as Rajender and Surender Kumar, both residents of Petla Patti, Kharal, Jind, Haryana.
Both the apprehended snatchers were involved in number of snatchings with in the area of Bus Stand, Jewal, Bikram Chowk and Satwari from last few days.
On enquiry they disclosed that they are operating in an organised gang of 3 persons and came from Haryana few days back with the intention of snatchings/theft in Jammu.
Out of 3, two has been apprehended based upon a complaint by Vaishno Devi pilgrims, whose purse has been snatched by these said thieves at Bus Stand Jammu.
Hunt is going on to arrest the third snatcher.
