Two Punjab residents among 3 held with 186-gm heroin-like-substance

JAMMU, Oct 14: Jammu and Kashmir Police in RS Pura area today claimed they have arrested three drug peddlers, two of them residents of Punjab, with 186 grams of heroin-like-substance.
Acting on specific inputs, three individuals, identified as Inderjeet of Gandhi Camp, Tehsil Batala, District Gurdaspur, Punjab, at present Chak Talab, Tehsil RS Pura; Vishal Kumar of Sagarpur, Tehsil Batala, District Gurdaspur, Punjab, at present Chak Talab, and Jagdish Raj of Chak Talab, were arrested with the consignment from Chak Talab area, a police official said.
They were accordingly booked in case FIR number 203/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up to ascertain the backward and forward linkages of the accused, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Police Station RS Pura led by PSI Lahtsham ul Haq, with the guidance of SHO concern, Inspector RS Parihar.
