RAMBAN, Aug 27: Ramsoo police arrested two persons and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Ramsoo Police Station laid a naka near Magarkote and intercepted two persons.
During checking, police recovered 101 small bottles of illicit liquor from their possession and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Karanjeet Singh, son of Mather Singh and Rattan Singh, son of Man Singh, both residents of Narthyal Tehsil Pogal Paristan District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 70/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Ramsoo Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramsoo Inspector Naveen Angral made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
