Two new radio stations all set to reach out to people in Kashmir valley, Ladakh

NEW DELHI: In a bid to reach to the last man on the border, Information and Broadcasting Ministry is all set to launch two high powered radio stations in Uri in Kashmir valley and Himbotingla in Ladakh.

According to Government officials, both radio stations will start functioning soon after the bifurcation of the Jammu and Kashmir state into two separate Union Territories comes into effect from October 31.

Both locations have been chosen for their strategic significance and are a part of the Government’s outreach to local population in both the new UTs.  (AGENCIES)
