JAMMU, Oct 18: Two persons including a youth were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a 25-year-old youth was killed on the spot while his accomplice was injured seriously, when the bike bearing registration No JK02BA-7714 they were travelling on, was hit by a truck this evening at Jagti-Nagrota, in city outskirts.
The injured namely Rampal (30) son of Tara Chand, resident of Marh, was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment while the body of the deceased identified as Surinder Singh (25) son of Vakil Singh, a resident of Marh, was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
A 60-year-old man was injured this morning when the scooty on which he was going on, was hit by a truck here at Ware House. The injured man identified as Ajit Singh Chib son of Gyan Singh, a resident of Raipur-Satwari, was shifted to GMCH, where he passed away after few hours.
After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
