JAMMU, Feb 24: Two persons were killed today in separate road accidents in Satwari and Miran Sahib areas of Jammu.
“A bike rider identified as Gautam Kumar son of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Ganda (Miran Sahib) was hit and seriously injured by a speeding bus bearing registration number JK02CH-7131 at Marlian Morh this evening,” a police official said.
He said the injured was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “The body of the deceased was shifted in mortuary room of the Hospital while a case in this connection was registered at police station Miran Sahib,” he added.
Meanwhile, a 28 year-old youth namely Abhishek Gupta son of late Vinod Gupta, resident of Jeevan Nagar, which was travelling on a scooty, was hit and killed on the spot by a speeding car near Satwari. The body of the deceased was shifted in mortuary room of the Hospital while Gandhi Nagar police had registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
