Srinagar, Mar 2: Police today said two persons were killed while three others were injured in separate road accidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01R-3579 driven by Imran Nazir Khan hit and injured a pedestrian girl namely Tamana, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at Bypass in Kurhama area of Ganderbal district. “The injured girl was shifted to Sub District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said an Alto car bearing registration number JK01J-9629 collided with a motorcycle at Nadihal in Sopore area of Baramulla district, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist namely Ayaz Ahmad Sofi. “The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01T-1949 driven by Suhail Reyaz Khan along with pillion namely Umar Nazir Halwai collided with a Scooty driven by Suhail Manzoort at a petrol pump in Chadoora area of Budgam district, resulting in injuries to all the three persons.
“All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Chadoora for treatment where from Suhail Manzoor was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
